Missouri Valley Wrestling: MVWA 62 Preview

Missouri Valley Wrestling and Heartland TV presents MVWA 62 from the JQH Arena in Springfield, Missouri this Saturday night.

Television Title Match: Kathryn Randall Collins © of Jill Berg Enterprises vs. Harley Davisson
KRC defeated the up and coming ‘Canadian Cyborg’ Sheline Carrigan at MVWA 61 to claim the newly reactivated MVW Television Title.   This week, the 4 time PCW Women’s Champion and 2 time MVW Television Champion draws the biker babe from Omaha, Nebraska, Harley Davisson.

Davisson is a seasoned veteran of the ring and presents a different set of challenges for the TV champion. She is strong…a little unorthodox…and she’s not afraid to brawl in the ring or anywhere else in the building. But Davisson has never been in this position before. Against KRC, Davisson has a chance to claim her first title ever and show the world just what she’s all about.

MVW Tag Team Title Match: Angels of Death (Angel Scott/Angel Casey) © vs. The Beach Girls (Michelle Love/Brianna Wilson)
With the Brian Wilson biopic “Love and Mercy’ in the theaters this summer, it’s fitting that a tag team from Southern California, the aptly named Beach Girls, bring their sun and fun to Springfield, Missouri to challenge the four time MVW Tag Team champions.

Angels of Death continue to redouble their efforts to being the best tag team Missouri Valley Wrestling have to offer. Last month, they demolished The Pinups at MVWA 61. This month, they will have to derail the surfin’ safari of Love and Wilson who’ve rocketed to the top faster than the Little Old Lady from Pasadena drives down the street.

The Beach Girls are having the time of their lives and win or lose Saturday night, they look to keep the good times and their Endless Summer rolling on.

MVW Title Match: Jill Berg © vs. ‘Queen Cool’ Leah Iris
These two met back in February at MVWA 59 and Jill’s experience overwhelmed the younger Iris. Since then, Berg has gone out of her way to steer clear of ‘Queen Cool’ for reasons unknown. Now at MVWA 62, there’s no more running away. The champion was placed under a special rule by MVW co-bookers Corrina Romanov and Kevin G. Briscoe that states if Berg is disqualified or counted out in her title matches that her title belt WILL change hands.

However, the fly in the ointment for Iris is a balky hamstring that she injured a week and a half ago. As of press time, Leah was going to try it out at a MVW Wednesday night house show. If it’s a no go, then Romanov and Briscoe will have to choose another challenger for the MVW Champion.

Berg has spent more time making headlines and not a great deal of time inside the ring in the past few weeks. Will that come into play Saturday night? And if Iris can’t go, who gets a golden opportunity to challenge for the title?

PCW Reunion Announcement
Lastly, Dawn McGill will be on hand to confirm the PCW Reunion will take place on Labor Day weekend and run down the card.
