CJ Osborne Purchases FRONTIER
It was soon after the posting of the latest FRONTIER results that news began to surface of some big changes within the company. What followed was unexpected and has the potential to change FRONTIER down to it’s very core.
On Wednesday we announced that Hanna Fox, the owner and co-founder of FRONTIER, was leaving the company. It was revealed that she was no longer able to bankroll the company and debts were beginning to stack up. It’s a sad state of affairs and is a familiar occurrence for British wrestling companies, forced to pay higher wages to wrestlers who are flown in from around the globe. As a result of her departure FRONTIER was placed into administration and the future looked bleak.
It didn’t take long for the rumours to spread and scaremongering to begin as fans, wrestlers and the competition took to twitter to comment on the situation. But out of that came two of FRONTIER’s own sons who were willing to step up to the plate. Both Madman Szalinski and CJ Osborne were willing to stump up the cash to buy FRONTIER, with the former wanting to loan it to someone else so he could continue as GFC Commonwealth Champion.
But it was CJ Osborne who acted first, arranging a meeting with Hanna Fox to discuss her decision before meeting with Scott Mayo and the administrator to thrash out a deal. The result sees CJ Osborne take control of the company, a deal done quick enough that FRONTIER will be selling tickets to our next show in just a few days.
It is believed that CJ wishes to continue his in-ring career and will not be hanging up his boots to run FRONTIER, instead he will appoint someone to run it for him. Scott Mayo, who performed this role twice under the ownership of Fox, will surely be in pole position to continue in this position. But we can’t rule out the possibility that new blood will be brought in to inject new life into the already highly regarded Pro-Wrestling FRONTIER.
We will bring you more on this story as it develops.
